La Costa Animal Hospital has been serving the people and pets of Carlsbad and San Diego area for over 35 years! Carlsbad, located on the Coast of Southern California, is a good-sized city in San Diego which is approximately 87 miles south of Los Angeles and 35 miles north of San Diego.  Carlsbad was named one of the “Best Places to Live” by Niche.com in 2020, coming in at #29. Guided by DR. MICHAEL SCHATZLE, we are able to consistently deliver the highest quality veterinary medical, dental, surgical, and diagnostic care available. We are an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited hospital, and have been since 1988. We are also a Silver-Level Cat Friendly Practice, as determined by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).  To complement our doctors, we have a team of experienced support staff and a strong leadership group who work closely together to deliver the best care to each pet and pet parent!

Qualifications

• Valid RVT credentials in CA or pending credentials within 6-8 months
• Proficient in surgery and dental procedures (Extractions/X-Rays) highly preferred
• Ability to work on feet all day
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Team player, go getter, willing to jump-in when needed
• Positive attitude and the desire to learn
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently
