Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Intake Specialist / Front Desk Client Coordinator
Position Overview: The Clinical Laboratory Intake Specialist/Client Coordinator is responsible for managing front desk operations and providing a seamless intake and client experience. This role involves inputting orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), reporting results, and ensuring efficient communication between patients, healthcare providers, and the laboratory team.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients and clients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and test orders
Input test orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) accurately and efficiently
Report test results to clients and healthcare providers via LIS or other designated channels
Coordinate the intake process for lab specimens, ensuring proper documentation and handling
Manage phone calls, emails, and other correspondence from clients and healthcare providers
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity within the LIS
Liaise between clients, lab technicians, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate testing
Handle appointment scheduling, billing queries, and general client coordination
Assist in maintaining compliance with laboratory regulations and policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or lab sciences is a plus
Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in using computer systems and office software
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
