    Summary of Position

    The Lab Inventory Coordinator holds the key responsibility of maintaining and organizing Imbibe’s internal inventory and supporting our R&D Teams. This individual is essential in ensuring that the Imbibe lab is organized and supported to ensure customer projects are uninterrupted. The Lab Inventory Coordinator is also responsible for purchasing retail products to support cross-functional development work which involves physically driving to retail locations to purchase product or utilizing online purchasing avenues when available.

    Essential Job Duties

    Inventory Management

    • Handle the receipt of incoming raw materials and ensure proper storage both physically and in the Inventory Management System.

    • Ensure lab personnel are collecting raw materials received via established process to avoid overflow of incoming raw materials.

    • Collect and return materials used by the Imbibe Lab daily both physically and in the Inventory Management System.

    • Assist lab personnel in finding materials needed for development and checking them out to the appropriate party in the Inventory Management System.

    • Reconcile material inventory monthly and ensure expired inventory is properly disposed of.

    Product Requests

    • Purchase retail products to support development work, relying on online purchasing avenues when and where possible. When unavailable, physically driving to retail locations to purchase products.

    Communication/Collaboration

    • Maintain open communication with lab personnel to ensure organizational needs regarding inventory are being met.

    • Collaborate cross-functionally and actively participate in projects aimed at improving efficiencies related to tasks and communication between Procurement and R&D Teams.

    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties, as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Reliable personal transportation with a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to nearby retail locations to purchase product, when required.

    • Strong organization skills and a creative problem-solver.

    • Strong communication/interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to learn and work in specialized computer software.

    • Ability to multi-task and switch focus, as needed.

    • Ability to manage to tight deadlines and organize and prioritize work independently.

    • Highly motivated, innovative, and able to collaborate effectively.

    • Must exhibit attention to detail, thoroughness, and have a can-do attitude.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.

    • Knowledge of food/beverage industry and corresponding raw materials.

    • Previous experience with lab inventory management system.

    Working Conditions

    • 100% in-office schedule.

    • Combination office/lab setting.

    • Local travel required via personal vehicle, as necessary, to complete the purchase of market products.

    • Occasionally ascends/descends a step ladder to maintain physical inventory.

    • Occasionally moves boxes/bags weighing up to 50 LBS to organize physical inventory.

    May request assistance from lab or pilot plant personnel.

    • Exposure to powders and food grade chemicals; some may be labeled as hazardous.
