Job Summary:
As a Custom Rubber Manufacturing Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development, testing, and production of rubber products tailored to meet our customers' specific needs. You will work closely with engineers and product designers in a lab environment to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation and mixing of rubber compounds based on specified formulas and customer requirements.
- Conduct various tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including mixers, mills, and ovens, ensuring equipment is calibrated and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and refine rubber product prototypes, providing input on design feasibility and material properties.
- Document and analyze test results, maintaining detailed records of production processes, material usage, and test findings.
- Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing process, ensuring consistent product quality.
- Support production by troubleshooting manufacturing problems and providing technical assistance to operators.
- Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies related to rubber manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in materials science, chemistry, rubber technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in rubber manufacturing or materials testing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rubber materials, compounding, and processing techniques.
- Proficiency in operating laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
