Role

As a Metallurgical Lab Technician (also known as Metallographic Technician, Metallurgical Analyst), you'll be responsible for examining and testing metal samples using advanced equipment such as scanning electron microscopes and stereoscopes. You'll determine the physical properties of metal, perform chemical analyses on parts, conduct product audits and tests, and write reports. You'll also be involved in the preparation of metal specimens for further analysis, including polishing, etching, and photographing samples.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using scanning electron microscope and stereoscope.
• Experience in a similar lab environment and basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in Quality Inspection and Quality Control Data Analysis.
