    Summit Scientific is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician/Analyst to join our team in Golden, Colorado. In this role, you will contribute to high-quality environmental testing services for the oil, gas, and consulting industries in Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota. You’ll be responsible for performing analytical testing using EPA methodologies, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to laboratory protocols.

    Schedule Options (Fixed Shifts)

    These shifts are fixed (non-rotating), and flexible start times are available on weekends:

    · Late Shift: Wednesday–Sunday, 12 PM–9 PM

    · Morning Shift A: Wednesday–Sunday, 6 AM–3 PM

    · Weekend Shift B: Wednesday–Sunday, 8 AM–5 PM

    Compensation and Benefits

    · Base Salary: $40,000–$60,000 per year

    Key Responsibilities

    · Perform analytical testing using EPA or equivalent methods, including ICPMS, IC, CVAA, GCMS, and GCFID.

    · Operate laboratory equipment safely and efficiently while handling potentially hazardous substances.

    · Accurately input and track sample data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

    · Follow written methodologies, procedures, and laboratory protocols without deviation.

    · Collaborate effectively with team members and management to meet deadlines and resolve issues.

    · Monitor analytical performance, identify errors, and initiate corrective actions.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge

    · Familiarity with chemical symbols and general scientific terminology.

    · Basic understanding of EPA methodologies (training provided).

    · Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

    · Familiarity with laboratory computer systems (e.g., LIMS) and laboratory environments.

    Skills

    · Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

    · Proficient in data entry and typing.

    · Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

    · Teamwork and problem-solving capabilities.

    Abilities

    · Independently monitor, prioritize, and manage daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    · Operate both electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.

    · Perform repetitive motion tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

    · Recognize analytical performance issues and suggest corrective actions.

    · Thrive under tight deadlines and large sample volumes.

    Required Qualifications

    · High school diploma or GED (required).

    · Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field (preferred).

    · 1–3 years of analytical laboratory experience (preferred but not required).

    Physical Requirements

    · Ability to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, stoop, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 100% of an 8-hour shift.

    · Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate laboratory equipment and handle glassware.
