Our client, an esteemed law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced **Labor & Employment Paralegal **to join their Hartford, CT office. This position will support the firm's "got to" Attorney (Shareholder) for many of the most recognized education institutions and corporations. The attorney is a skilled trial lawyer, negotiator, investigator, and proven leader. Highly regarded by boards, in-house legal teams, and leadership of institutions, the attorney has provided steady guidance to clients through crisis, change, litigation, and all manner of adversity and challenges
Duties
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting; experience in Labor & Employment preferred.
- Update and maintain client document management databases, including managing document production processes
- Ability to draft routine legal documents for review and use by attorneys, including compiling and preparing draft discovery responses.
- Categorize and interpret data; review and analyze documents, responses and records produced by opposing counsel
- Coordinate and handle requests between multiple parties involved
- Experience with time entry and client billing
- Proficiency with document review databases and platforms (Relativity and CaseMap preferred)
- Trial and deposition preparation
- Bluebook citation
- Experience required in Westlaw research
- Proficiency in electronic filing in state and federal courts
- Trial attendance preferred
- Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Experience/Education
- 5+ years of paralegal or other relevant experience with labor and employment law.
- Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certificate required.
