Job Description
Under general direction, the successful candidate will perform guided lab-scale experiments to characterize and develop EnPower’s electrode architecture and materials. This candidate will work with a cross-functional team in a rapid-paced and iterative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build coin cells to analyze electrodes electrochemical performance, for example, charge/discharge rate capacity and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
- Process datasets using analytical software and programming languages such as Python.
- Work cross-functionally with cell development team to optimize anode, cathode and separator performance for specific customer applications.
- Characterize slurries using pH probe, surface tension, and conductivity meters.
- Characterize electrode coatings using 4-point probes, SEM analysis, optical microscope, mandril test, and peel test.
- Complete lab-scale mixing, coating, and calendaring experiments.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiatives, exercise judgment, and work independently.
- Ability to thrive under time pressures while naturally embracing changing priorities.
