US Cannalytics FL is looking for a candidate that seeks a challenging position in an independent testing laboratory serving the cannabis analytical laboratory industry. The successful candidate will be reliable, exhibit strong attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS

Must:

• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

• Have a clean driving record and reliable vehicle

• Be at least 21 years old

• Have a bachelor's degree in a natural science, to include, but not limited to, biology, chemistry, or environmental sciences

• Pass a criminal background check

Preferred:

• Industry experience
• 2 years of customer service experience

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES

The laboratory technician is responsible and accountable for the safe, accurate, and timely testing, quality control, and tracking of cannabis material including the safe and secured transportation of samples submitted to the laboratory for testing. This position is also responsible for maintaining the laboratory’s physical inventory of cannabis and cannabis products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Perform water activity, moisture, and daily verifications (such as balances).
• Prepare samples for potency, residual solvents, terpenes, heavy metals, and microbial testing.
• Perform inventory of supplies and cannabis tracking and destruction
• Perform accurate weighing and recording all of product weights.
• Travel to customer sites to collect cannabis samples.
• Accurately document information on chain of custodies and manifests.
• Develop expertise in testing methods.
• Work in a timely manner and strives to improve quality and maintain accuracy.
• Follow policies and procedures for daily operations and fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations.
• Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME

SALARY: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
