  • Responsibilities

    Lead a small team as they load food provisions on to ships on a government facility. Serve a higher purpose as you support people with disabilities in achieving their goals and meeting contract deliverables. Great chance to support the military as part of your day to day.

    Position Purpose:

    To provide services to VersAbility customers including those under a government contract in

    accordance with the Statement of Work incorporated into the contract. This position will have the responsibility of

    performing duties and, in the absence of the Contract Manager, supervising employees throughout the shift. This

    position will receive guidance and direction from the Manager- Government Contracts

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

    • Responsible for maintaining quality standards as determined by the Government Quality Assurance Evaluator

    and/or other people who are responsible for quality assurance

    • Responsible for maintaining a safe work area

    • Responsible for promoting and maintaining positive lines of communication with customers while performing

    their job duties

    • Responsible for providing quality customer service

    • Responsible for cleaning the equipment as instructed by the Manager- Government Contracts

    • Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures as set forth by VersAbility Resources and the U.S.

    Government

    • Assist Contracts Manager in the supervision of employees

    • Ensures the Statement of Work is met satisfactory, per the Government standards (set forth in the Statement of

    Work)

    • Responsible for communicating effectively, both written and orally

    • Assists Manager- Government Contracts in scheduling work assignments per the Statement of Work

    • May require the ability to drive a vehicle periodically

    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

    Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

    Experience: Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred

    Valid Driver’s License is Required

    Security: Ability to pass a military background screen to obtain base access required.

    Skills Knowledge & Abilities:

    • Knowledge of the operating procedures involved in the use of appropriate equipment and its related functions,

    including the cleaning process for the equipment

    • Ability to perform multiple tasks independently in an unsupervised location

    • Ability to work standing and walking for prolonged periods of time

    • Ability to acquire and maintain a valid driver’s license

    • Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs. independently

    Environmental:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside. Work may be

    performed in a variety of environments that can become hot and humid. This environment may contain multiple people

    performing various tasks. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in

    the work environment is usually moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. While performing the duties

    of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one building to another, push heavy equipment,

    twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel.
