    Job Summary

    Bring your exceptional talents to a premier award winning team at a new restaurant in Lafayette.

    We are looking for Butchers skilled with a knife that have Customer Service experience (speaking with, serving guests) cutting barbecue meats for our valued guests. The ultimate goal of all our team members is to serve quality food of the highest standard, creating a unique experience for each customer. We prefer the ideal candidate to have previous experience in cutting, barbecue, and/or smoking meats for very high volume fast casual restaurant or market.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment

    Cut meats to order and present to specifications in an appealing manner

    Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members when appropriate

    Maintain appropriate levels of line inventory and restock when necessary

    Follow all food safety regulations

    Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation

    Participate in daily kitchen opening, mid, and closing procedures

    Performs other related duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Restaurant Manager

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience in a similar role is preferred

    Big energy, personable, with winning smile

    Adept at handling knives, cutting, prep skills

    ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification

    Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes a plus

    Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure

    Excellent time management skills

    Works well in a respectful, disciplined, high energy, positive team environment

    Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
