Job Description:
The Restaurant Manager has the overall responsibility to maintain and ensure the front-of-house (FOH) runs smoothly, trains the team, creates schedules and guarantees staff is providing excellent customer service with restaurant sales booming and financials profitable. Ensuring efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards are mandatory!
Compensation: $70K/yr + Bonus Incentive Plan (worth up to 20% of salary)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hire, train, set and maintain a shift schedule for FOH staff.
Oversee day-to-day operations in FOH.
Ensure customer satisfaction by quickly resolving any issues.
Facilitate quick and efficient communication between front and back-of-house (BOH).
Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products.
Oversees opening and closing tasks and balances daily and nightly cash drawers.
Implement safe working practices to ensure safety of building occupiers and visitors.
Requirements - Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
2 – 3 years of Supervisory experience in a food service environment
Proven track record of leadership and managerial skills while providing exceptional customer service is required.
