Job Description

In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Product Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will own the catalog assortment strategy for key categories within our Play and Learn departments. The positions requires partnering across teams within the Merchandising department to identify new product opportunities, as well as analyzing industry trends to inform product decisions and actionable ideas for driving business. Applicants should have more than 5 years of experience as a buyer, merchandiser or product developer, in addition to living within a commutable distance to our Carson, CA, headquarters.

A day on the job looks like this:

• Curate product assortments for multiple categories in three different catalogs
• Source, review and propose high-quality educational products
• Analyze sales reports, identify white space and create action plans for your categories
• Travel to trade shows
• Communicate and negotiate with vendors
• Onboard new partners
• Manage product lifecycles from end to end
• Prioritize tasks to balance the immediate and long-term needs of the business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required
• 5 years of experience in a similar role required
• Professional communication style (both written and verbal) as shown through strong presentation skills, excellent organization skills and a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to travel to trade shows up to five times per year

• Salary: $80,000-$100,000 with an annual bonus of up to 10%
