We are seeking a Land Air Boss to provide specialized military training support and instruction for the Air Force Special Warfare Squadron. This role involves dynamic and impactful training responsibilities, with primary locations including Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB), AZ; Fort Huachuca, AZ; San Clemente Island, CA; Lake Roosevelt, AZ; Coronado, CA; and surrounding areas dedicated to maritime warfare training and rescue operations.

    So, what will the Land Air Boss at Terrestris do?

    The Air Boss' primary role is to interface with the Government instructors in order to simulate required scenario aircraft, lead/simulate air-to-ground radio communications for the scenario, and provide appropriate scenario injects per the Government provided phase lesson plan. You will be intimately familiar with each scenario and capable of effectively communicating with the students and/or any live aircraft during the scenario. You will drive the flow of the Government-directed Land FMPs scenario from start to completion and be able to audible aircraft scenarios at the lead instructor's request.

    Duties:

    • Assist in qualifying fully mission capable Pararescue Jumpers (PJ), Combat Rescue Officers (CRO), Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Specialists, and other AFSPECWAR specialists..
    • Provide appropriate debrief points following completion of each training scenario or as directed by the lead government instructor.
    • You may also be required to perform duties as a Role Player in scenarios.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    You might be the Warfighter we're looking for if you have:

    • A minimum of ten (10) years' experience serving as a JTAC, TACP, or Combat Controller.
    • Graduated Formal JTAC school in last 5 years.
    • Graduated CCS/STTS or other AFSPECWAR equivalent.
    • A type one release qualification.
    • Full physical capability to perform OPFOR and/or small unit tactics movements without restriction.
    • JTAC Instructor qualification OR JTAC Evaluator qualification.
    • Combat deployment experience in Afghanistan or Iraq.
    • The ability to lift and carry 200 lbs for 400 meters nonstop.
    • The ability to ruck 6-miles carrying a 35-lb ruck within 2 hours.
    • US Citizenship, active Secret Clearance or higher is preferred.
