    Tesoro Technology has partnered with a prominent national survey and engineering firm specializing in renewable energy and land development. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Land Survey Crew Chief to work primarily in support of local projects in your area. This contract-to-hire position offers significant growth opportunities within a dynamic and expanding company.

    Salary: $25-$35
    Hours: Average of 40-50 hours per week

    ***Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving history***

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a dedicated Land Survey Crew Chief to join our client’s team and be responsible for delivering exceptional surveying services to both internal and external clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical expertise and support for surveying operations.
    • Maintain compliance with the company’s Safety, Quality Management, and Equipment Maintenance policies.
    • Perform field layout for construction and gather necessary data for ALTAs, boundary surveys, and design surveys.
    • Utilize heavy line coding systems for their pre-design survey process.
    • Interpret and apply construction plans accurately.
    • Operate Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and differential leveling equipment effectively.
    • Foster strong relationships with clients by providing superior customer service.
    • Collaborate proactively with coworkers and contractors to enhance project outcomes.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Physically agile, able to navigate various construction sites and remote locations.
    • Capable of carrying survey equipment (up to 50 pounds) and walking long distances.
    • Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related field experience.
    • Experience in Land Development (Commercial and Residential) and Public Infrastructure projects.
    • Proven ability to coordinate activities with surveying technicians and engineering staff.
    • Knowledge of searching for and recovering Public Land Survey System monuments.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew.
    • Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for various surveying tasks.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
    • Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently.
    • Basic proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
