Job Description
As a student intern with Olsson’s Survey team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career in geospatial technology. You will work alongside experienced staff assisting with processing and extracting data from LiDAR point clouds, supporting quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) efforts, and maintaining organized records of all processed data and project documentation. You’ll learn how to navigate and manipulate 3D CAD environments to create accurate digital twin models as well as learn how troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to data extraction and processing. Depending on the projects, you may also have the opportunity for field work with state-of-the-art LiDAR tools and equipment.
