They are seeking a Land Use and Environmental Litigation Associate with experience in environmental, land use, and natural resources litigation to join their collaborative Litigation group in Seattle.

    This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and high-impact cases, representing a diverse portfolio of longstanding local and national clients across various industries. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with experienced attorneys across all company’s offices, gaining exposure to a broad range of legal challenges while refining their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

    Land Use and Environmental Litigation Associate Responsibilities:

    • Handle environmental, land use, and natural resources litigation matters, including compliance, administrative and enforcement actions, water rights, agency permitting, and regulatory matters.
    • Represent clients in state and federal court, making court appearances and managing discovery.
    • Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple offices to serve clients effectively.
    • Take on substantial individual responsibilities while receiving mentorship and professional development opportunities.

    Land Use and Environmental Litigation Associate Qualifications:

    • At least 2 years of substantive experience in land use and environmental litigation with a focus in natural resource litigation and compliance, administrative and enforcement actions, water rights, agency permitting, and regulatory matters.
    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school with an active license to practice law.
    • Proven ability to handle court appearances and effectively manage discovery.
    • Strong academic background, analytical abilities, and exceptional writing skills.
    • A client-centered approach, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple cases, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.

    Compensation: $160,000 - $190,000 +
