    Job Summary

    CSP Management is seeking a certified arborist. The individual should possess business analysis skills, communication, motivation, business etiquette, and the ability to communicate with teams of landscapers, including subcontractors. We are looking to hire a skilled and certified arborist to plant and maintain trees for our clients.

    As an arborist, you will be responsible for keeping trees for public spaces and ensuring any old trees are taken down before they can fall and hurt a person or damage appropriately and for consulting with clients on their landscaping needs, planting new trees, maintaining and pruning trees, and removing dead or unwanted trees. You may also be required to monitor and maintain soil conditions, treat diseased trees, and apply pesticides.

    You are hard-working, a team player, and dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Experience as a landscaper is preferred, and a positive attitude is necessary!

    Responsibilities:

    Meeting with clients to discuss their landscaping needs.

    Assessing soil and space requirements for new trees.

    Planting new trees or woody plants.

    Identifying and treating diseased trees.

    Trimming tree branches and pruning trees.

    Testing and maintaining soil conditions.

    Applying specialized tree fertilizers.

    Applying pesticides if necessary.

    Removing dead or unwanted trees.

    Qualifications:

    Certified arborist required

    Past experience as a landscaper/groundskeeper preferred

    Bachelor’s degree in botany, biology, or horticulture.

    Proven work experience as an arborist.

    Advanced knowledge of tree biology and tree anatomy.

    Knowledge of soil biology and fertilizer compositions.

    Familiarity with climbing equipment.

    Ability to operate handsaws and mechanical devices.

    Ability to work in all weather conditions and at heights.

    Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.

    Good communication skills.

    The ideal candidate will also have additional skills, such as:

    Bi-lingual

    Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

    Strong attention to detail

    Prioritize and multitask

    This position is expected to grow, and we are excited to welcome someone to our team. We currently need someone for every Saturday. The pay rate is based on experience. The typical schedule is Saturday from 06:30 am to 3:00 pm. However, the individual may be asked to be available to work other days as needed.
