The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Total Landscape Concepts is responsible for driving sales growth by prospecting and developing new business opportunities across residential and commercial markets. This role focuses on selling landscape services and solutions to both residential homeowners and property managers, schools, sports facilities, government entities, restaurants, banks, HOA’s, and other organizations in need of superior landscape products and services. The BDR will work closely with clients to present tailored proposals, assist in project layout and design, and ensure a smooth project management process.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve Sales Goals: Meet and exceed monthly sales targets through the direct selling of Total Landscape Concepts’ programs and services to residential and commercial customers.
Prospecting: Generate new business sales revenue by identifying and adding new customers through various marketing strategies such as direct mail, social media, customer campaigns, referrals, and more.
Presenting Proposals: Develop and deliver customized proposals for landscape services, and assist with the layout and design of both small and large landscape projects.
Price and Design Negotiation: Utilize a company-provided laptop and phone to negotiate pricing and design details with clients.
Lead Generation: Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage leads, contact information, projects, opportunities, and forecasting reports.
Project Management: Coordinate and schedule services across multiple departments to ensure successful project execution.

Activity and Expectations
Sales Targets: Post-training (90 days), BDRs are expected to consistently meet or exceed monthly budgeted sales targets by maintaining a significant pipeline of prospective clients, including both new and existing customers.
Appointments: A daily goal of scheduling 5-7 appointments is required to maintain sales momentum. BDRs are responsible for booking appointments when inbound leads are unavailable.
Target Adjustment: Annual sales targets will be established at the beginning of each calendar year but may be adjusted according to business needs.

Qualifications
Preferred Experience: 2+ years in sales, business development, or a related field (landscape industry experience is a plus)
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
Technology: Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Other: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
