Job Summary: The Landscape Foreman is responsible for working with the Supervisor and their crew to install and carry out hardscaping and softscaping projects on an ongoing basis, identifying needs on a jobsite (Garden Bed Installation, Planting/Horticulture, Grading, Sod, Seeding/Overseeding, Artificial Turf, Drainage, Pavers/Slabs, Retaining/Freestanding Wall, Boulder Wall, Landscape Steps, Natural Stone/Paver Edging, Fire Pit), understanding and delegating tasks to crew members, communicating expectations thoroughly, meeting with Supervisor to review jobsite plans, directing the progress of the project, assisting in the installation of all projects, as well as ensuring that a quality job is performed in an effective and professional manner. In-office training and education is provided. This position is applicable in both residential and commercial settings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a similar field.
Certification in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field (preferred).
Proven leadership experience managing teams or crews in a landscaping or construction environment.
Strong ability to lead, supervise, and motivate teams to meet deadlines.
Proficiency with landscaping equipment (excavators, skid steers, tampers, chop saws, etc...)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, landscaping plans, and work orders.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and address their concerns.
Detail-oriented to ensure high-quality work and adherence to specifications.
Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials, standing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to identify and address potential site hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Lead, supervise, manage, and participate in landscape projects from start to finish.
Manage a team of 1-3 members, jobsite progress, and material.
Document jobsite progress including but not limited to materials, photos, equipment, etc.
Ensure the successful installation of Garden Beds, Plantings, Sod, Seed, Artificial Turf, Drainage, Pavers, Retaining Walls, Boulder Walls, Landscape Steps, Grading, etc.
Ensure and execute reasonable production schedules.
Understand and delegate tasks.
Provide direction and identifying needs on a jobsite.
Ensure the performance of all responsibilities to company standards.
Interact with supervisors and clients to ensure clear communication throughout all projects.
Prepare and execute all necessary Change Orders promptly
