Job Summary
As a Landscape Technician Level 3, you will play a critical role in leading and executing advanced landscape maintenance and installation projects. With your extensive experience and expertise, you will be responsible for overseeing more complex tasks such as advanced plant care, irrigation system management, landscape construction, and the operation of heavy machinery. You will also mentor junior technicians, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
This role requires a deep understanding of horticultural practices, landscape design principles, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the field.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles.
Repair irrigation systems.
Lead a team of more than two staff members under your responsibility.
Mow grass, use a blower, and operate a trimmer.
Apply chemicals as needed.
Trim hedges and perform light tree work.
Follow your manager's instructions and report irrigation deficiencies to the irrigation technician.
Use company internal app to report and record all completed work orders.
Maintenance of all properties assigned to you.
Maintain and take care of assigned machines and vehicles.
Assist in landscape installation projects
Follow safety procedures and company policies
Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management to support the efficient operation of the facility.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in landscaping or related field preferred
Ability to perform physical labor and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Requires the ability to work outdoors in varying degrees of temperatures (often extreme conditions) be exposed to fumes, dust and odors and contact with potentially hazardous material (i.e., herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, pre-emergent)
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Requires the ability to move, lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally
Requires the ability to push and/or pull with a maximum force of 40 pounds object.
Ability to operate landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes.
