Job Description

The Landside QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in landside airport infrastructure construction. This position plays a critical role in monitoring materials, workmanship, and compliance with FAA, DOT, and state/local building codes. The QA/QC Inspector will conduct on-site inspections, maintain records of materials testing, and provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.

This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to enforce contract specifications, industry standards, and project guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in airport construction quality control and a strong understanding of FAA regulations, Caltrans specifications, and applicable testing procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections of landside construction activities, ensuring compliance with FAA, DOT, and Caltrans quality control protocols.
• Monitor and document materials testing, verifying compliance with specifications and industry standards.
• Identify quality discrepancies and non-conforming work, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Work closely with field engineers, construction managers, and contractors to enforce QA/QC requirements.
• Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and verify the proper installation of pavement, concrete structures, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
• Ensure that all workmanship, materials, and processes meet the required specifications before project closeout.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• Technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in construction quality control.
• Extensive knowledge of FAA airport construction specifications and Caltrans QC protocols.
• Relevant QA/QC certifications (ICC, ACI, NICET) preferred.

Additional Information

**The salary range for this full-time role is $80K-$130k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications. **
