    Laptop Customization Technician

    Department: Configuration Lab and Logistics Center

    Position Summary:

    The Laptop Customization Technician is responsible for performing the application custom vinyl skins to the exterior of devices, along with asset tag application, prior to shipment to customers. This application is to be performed with quality and in a consistent manner in accordance with documented instructions (written work instructions and quality control documents) in support of ongoing or new customer business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Customization: Apply custom skins, decals, and wraps to laptops according to customer specifications.
    • Quality Control: Ensure that all applied skins are free of bubbles, wrinkles, and other imperfections.
    • Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure high-quality application of skins.
    • Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels for skins, decals, and other materials.

      Key Outcomes of this Position:

    • The Laptop Customization Technician will consistently follow documented processes to maintain a high degree of quality in work product and customer satisfaction.
    • All daily work must be completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

       

      Skills and Qualifications:

    • Artistic Skills: Strong sense of design and attention to detail.
    • Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle small tools and materials with precision.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with skin application.
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Experience working in fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
    • Ability to follow instructions.
    • Feel comfortable working individually and in team settings.
    • Demonstrated organization, time-management, and communication skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Lifting requirements of up to 35 lbs.

    • Vision must be fair enough under a strong light to detect small amounts of vinyl skin application defects.
