Job Description
PRIMARY ROLE:
The Vice President of Supply Chain is a key member of the Operations management team and responsible for overseeing the Planning, Sourcing and Logistics teams that ensure our supply chain runs smoothly and that we provide best in class service to our internal and external customers. Ultimately this role will focus on the ability to anticipate demand and ensure that Latham Pool Products (LPP) has the right products at the right time to meet the needs of multiple channels in a fast-growing environment.
The person in this role will lead the development and execution of a Global Supply Management elements, including: Strategic Sourcing (strategies, policies, tactics). The VP of Supply Chain will also lead all the elements around the company’s Sales, Operations & Inventory Planning (SIOP) efforts in a collaborative manner with Sales, Marketing and Finance to ensure the highest level of customer service. This includes a high degree of reporting and internal communication with dynamic leadership to ensure alignment across departments and with our financial and business goals. The success of this position will be measured on KPI’s such as stock levels, working capital, on-time shipping, leadership development, process development, systems development, to name a few.
The VP of Supply Chain will report directly to the COO. Reporting to this position will be the Directors of Purchasing, Sr. Director of Planning and Director of Global Logistics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the Strategic Sourcing teams plans and objectives (short & long term) based on forecasts of future demand and considering economic and currency trends and conditions that affect global supply chain management, the business, and the global commodities and products sourced, including:
Leads the Corporate Planning and SIOP process, including:
Serve as the functional expert in the definition, configuration and implementation of any/all new ERP, Planning or optimization applications.
4. Lead the LPP Logistics team to ensure capacity, cost and governmental requirements are upheld.
5. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or similar education or equivalent level of experience; Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
3. Certification(s) preferred/required: APICS CPIM or Council of Supply Chain Management CSCMP or National Association of Purchasing Managers CPM preferred.
4. Ability to work with and manage multiple cross-functional teams
5. Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to senior-level management, customers and suppliers

6. Technical experience & skills
o Computer competencies in MS Office & ERP systems
o Ability to read engineering drawings
o Ability to understand manufacturing processes
7. Physical: Ability to (1) stay in a sitting position for most of the working day while looking at a computer monitor; (2) Open filing cabinets, bend or stand
10. Travel: Approximately 40% of the time with overnights; international as required
