Benefits: • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance • 401k • Generous paid vacation time Responsibilities: • Conduct legal research specific to personal injury claims to support attorneys in building robust cases. • Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents like pleadings, motions, and briefs. • Organize and summarize medical records, accident reports, and evidence pertinent to personal injury cases. • Communicate with clients, gather necessary information, and assist in drafting correspondence and client updates. • Aid in the preparation and filing of legal documents while ensuring adherence to proper procedures and deadlines. • Coordinate with investigators, interview witnesses, and collect relevant information to gather evidence. • Manage case-related information and documents efficiently using legal software and databases. • Accompany attorneys to court hearings, depositions, and mediations to assist with necessary tasks. • Prepare legal memoranda outlining key legal issues, case law, and arguments for specific cases. • Support trial preparation by organizing trial exhibits, preparing witnesses, and conducting legal research to bolster trial strategies. • Handle administrative duties such as filing documents, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing the attorney's calendar. • Stay abreast of changes in personal injury law by attending legal seminars and engaging in relevant training to enhance knowledge and skills. • Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality at all times. Qualifications: • The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of legal experience. • Previous paralegal experience is required. • Knowledge of personal injury law is essential. • Experience with case management is preferred. • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must. • Currently enrolled in Law School. Compensation: $15 hourly DOE
