    If you are a current law school student or a recent law school graduate and have superb research and writing skills, we want to hear from you. Our law firm is looking for the next law clerk to help our attorneys shine. You will work closely with senior and junior attorneys, case managers, and other law firm staff in preparing legal memoranda, which will confirm or deny the citations in an attorney’s legal brief in an effort to prepare for trial. You will also have the opportunity to prepare subpoenas and motions, docket deadlines, and learn about filing requirements for both circuit and federal courts. Responsibilities: • Perform legal research to confirm legal authority cited in briefs or other documents for attorneys and judges • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent information is accurate and deadlines and docketed properly • Write legal memoranda specifying results of research in order to assist in determining the best course of action for court proceedings • Consult with legal experts, converse with clients, and interview witnesses to prepare for trial • Type the first drafts of legal documents, such as motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery requests/responses • Conduct legal research on negligence, liability, and damages. • Draft motions, pleadings, demand letters, and discovery requests. • Organize and analyze depositions, witness statements, and evidence. • Assist in preparing clients and witnesses for depositions and hearings. • Prepare legal documents for court filing and e-filing. • Maintain case files, update case management systems, and track deadlines. • Support attorneys in settlement negotiations and trial preparation. Qualifications: • Minimum one year of experience working in the legal industry • Law school student with an undergraduate degree or recent law school graduate • Exhibit strong work ethic and attention to detail • Must have great writing skills and effective communication skills to participate in oral arguments effectively • Must be currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school. • Strong legal research and writing skills. • Proficiency in Westlaw, LexisNexis, or other legal research platforms. • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. • Ability to analyze medical records, police reports, and legal documents. • Strong communication skills for client and witness interactions. • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Prior experience in personal injury law or litigation support is a plus. • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Clio is preferred. Compensation: $17 - $20 hourly
