Medical Records Coordinator (MRC) is responsible for gathering medical records for clients throughout the clients treatment and after the client is discharged. The MRC will find all treatment facilities associate with the case and gather all records.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Processing requests for health information,
· Compiling, verifying, typing, and requesting medical records of hospitals or other health care facilities,
· Reviewing medical and billing records for completeness, producing accurate summaries of clients’ medical records
· Work with treatment facilities to ensure treatment compliance and discharge
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Two to four years’ experience in a records management environment (law firm experience preferred)
· Strong PC skills
· Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with firm personnel
· High degree of professionalism,
· Excellent written communication skills including accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation,
· Professional and courteous demeanor
· Knowledge of litigation documents (preferred)
· The ability to work independently/sort priorities with minimal direct supervision.
