Responsibilities: POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Tax Manager with 6 to 8 years of prior experience.In this position you will: • Review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates • Advise on transaction planning, including analysis of the issues, for current and future years • Research tax issues, with related written analysis • Represent clients before the IRS (and the Washington Department of Revenue) • Assist with managing tax season workflow (in coordination with our Tax Work Manager) • Collaborate with other professionals and our Tax Team • Manage client engagements with daily interaction by telephone, email, and in-person contact Qualifications: PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS If the following describes you, you may be our new Tax Team member: • Naturally curious, organized, and analytical • Able to work both independently and collaboratively • Creative in finding value-added solutions • Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills • Willing to learn new areas of tax law as needed • Proficient with technology • Dependable, accountable, and flexible • Open to professional challenges • Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting • CPA licensed with the State of Washington Board of Accountancy • Minimum of 6 years’ experience at a public accounting firm with experience as a Tax Manager • Willingness to work increased hours during typical tax season periods • Experience with tax preparation and projection software (experience with UltraTax CS a plus) Please submit an application if you have the experience and qualifications required for the position.
