    We are a FAMILY LAW FIRM in Ontario, California, looking for a Paralegal who has a passion for helping people going through divorce and custody battles. Our mission is to create happy clients by helping them navigate their divorce or child custody/support cases with ease, transparency, and experience. We aim to reduce their stress so they can focus on other important aspects of their lives, ultimately enabling them to consciously create a fulfilling life for themselves and their children. We need an experienced Paralegal who can hit the ground running and provide clients with outstanding service. You must have a proven history of building trusted relationships with clients; and enjoy handling all Paralegal aspects of family law matters, from preparation of Petition & Disclosures packages to propounding, responding to, and analyzing Discovery, to preparing motions, to preparation of Trial Briefs, Exhibit Lists and Trial Binders, through preparation of Judgments. You must have excellent organization, writing, and people skills. Responsibilities: • Ensure that all tasks are performed and deadlines met. Keep the case on track and moving at all times • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as Petition packages with Disclosures, Request for Orders/motions, all aspects of discovery (propound and respond), all trial documents including briefs, witness and exhibit lists, and judgments, under the supervision of a lawyer • Communicate and work closely with Clients to gather information and documents, and to provide them with regular updates on their case • Be highly computer literate. We are a modern firm that does not use paper files except for trial binders. We use multiple computer programs/software and need someone who is extremely comfortable learning and working with two or three monitors at a time • Skills and experience are vital, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important. We have a zero-tolerance policy for unprofessional behavior that applies to Clients as well as Employees. High-maintenance, humorless, self-entitled, or self-important individuals need not apply Qualifications: • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • 3+ years of family law service experience Compensation: $47,000 - $60,000 yearly plus bonuses
