The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve clients. Responsibilities: • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks • Draft revocable and irrevocable trusts, amendments to trusts, and review previously drafted client's trusts • Draft and Prepare necessary Probate pleadings for a Formal Administration, Summary Administration, or Ancillary Administration • Draft and Review last will and testament, power of attorneys, health care surrogate, and living wills • Advise and counsel clients on the difference between trust administration and probate administration Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred • Must be licensed with the Florida Bar Association • Salary is based on experience and to the extent of a portable book of business • 5 Years of Estate Planning and Probate Administration Experience is Required Compensation: $120,000 - $220,000 yearly
