Responsibilities: • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome • Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis Qualifications: • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required • Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in a litigation law firm Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 yearly
