At iEvolve, our field staff enjoy working with a dynamic organization focused on providing world class customer service. Lead Technicians must possess a minimum of four years full-time experience integrating audio/visual systems in residential environments.
Qualifications:
The Lead Technician must have at least 4 years of experience in the residential AV installation industry. Must pursue continuing education on systems including audio, video, security, lighting. Must be able to read house plans and other job site related documentation. Basic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standards. Troubleshooting skills are essential. Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent with in house job management software. Attention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement & system wiring.
Objective: To provide excellent quality of installation & customer experience while meeting industry standards and completing assigned projects on time.
Summary of Position:
The Lead Technician is responsible for installing and servicing products at a customer’s job site. The lead technician will need to directly communicate with the project manager. He will also need to properly communicate with any other techs on the jobsite. Organizing supplies, product, and transportation of high value equipment to job site will be among daily duties. Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of onsite installation of AV systems.
Install, configure, and calibrate home theaters, smart home automation, and security systems networks, cameras, and NVR’s
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
Proper management of van stock and tools as well as van maintenance and appearance
Great punctuality is a must and excessive tardiness will not be tolerated.
Meet with Project Manager to ensure timeline and expectations
Communicate effectively with and take direction from the Project Manager
Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment
Demonstrate system capabilities to customers and make on site programming changes
Daily updates to project documentation and work orders in job management software
Daily job site cleanliness and adherence to builder site requirements
Accurate time clock entries and job costing
Make decisions and be held accountable for Time and Materials
Local travel to job sites required
Provide training or communication to disseminate pertinent information as required
Fiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within Technician’s care
Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws
Additional Requirements:
Must be certified with Savant or Control4 with at least 2-years’ experience
Flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours
Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs
May require standing or stooping for extended periods
Ability to work in tight spaces & at ladder height
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and criminal background
Security license or experience preferred
