Experience required: 2-5 years of electronics assembly is desired, or education of 2 years in a related field.
This position involves the installation of electrical wiring and assembly of components in control cabinets, enclosures, and related industrial equipment, following technical drawings and wiring diagrams. The goal is to ensure efficient assembly, timely completion of projects, and adherence to quality standards. Key duties and responsibilities include:
Assembly and Wiring Tasks
Reading and interpreting assembly procedures and technical drawings.
Ensuring parts are available for project completion and documenting shortages.
Assembling electrical components such as breakers, relays, transformers, circuit boards, etc.
Cutting, stripping, bending, and connecting wire cables and conduits.
Soldering connections and crimping connectors.
Testing and adjusting electrical assemblies for functionality.
Signing off on QA reports to ensure products meet specifications.
Documentation and Quality Control
Redlining drawings for accurate assembly.
Updating and clarifying documentation changes.
Ensuring compliance with certifications (UL, TUV, etc.).
Communicating issues with assembly drawings and production orders to supervisors or engineers.
Fabrication and Structural Work
Assembling structural components such as bases and frames.
Drilling and tapping holes for mounting control units and other parts.
Workplace Maintenance
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Ensuring tools are properly stored after use.
Meeting production deadlines and promptly communicating any issues with supervisors.
Shipping and Receiving
Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against records.
Labeling shipments and ensuring proper packaging.
Managing inventory of shipping materials.
Operating forklifts and hand trucks for moving goods.
Additional Skills and Responsibilities
Must be proficient with power tools and equipment like drills, hole saws, soldering irons, etc.
Must be computer literate and able to manage inventory.
Ability to write reports detailing problems and solutions.
Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
This role requires a combination of technical skills in electrical assembly, adherence to safety and quality standards, and efficient communication and problem-solving abilities.
