Job Title: Lead Barista Company: Avanti Food and Beverage Location: LoHi, Denver, Colorado Job Type: Full-Time Job Description: As the Lead Barista, you will be the cornerstone of our coffee operations, overseeing day-to-day barista activities and leading a team in a high-energy environment. Your expertise in coffee craft, leadership, and customer service will drive excellence in both our product and the guest experience. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example, create a positive work culture, and provide mentorship to our team. Responsibilities: • Coffee Expertise : Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, coffee, and other beverages with precision and consistency. • Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of baristas, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. • Customer Service Excellence : Engage with customers, ensuring they receive top-notch service and a welcoming atmosphere. • Quality Control : Maintain the quality and presentation of all coffee and espresso drinks, ensuring they meet Avanti’s high standards. • Shift Management : Oversee daily operations of the coffee station, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness. • Training & Development: Continuously train new and existing staff on coffee preparation techniques, equipment use, and customer service skills. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a barista, Lead Barista or Shift Supervisor experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso machines, and latte art. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—ability to lead and inspire a team. • Passion for coffee and hospitality with a focus on delivering a memorable guest experience. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods. Compensation: $19 - $21 hourly
