Job Summary
We are looking for people with ABA or school aide experience who are good with kids for our behavior school aide position in a public school classroom. You will be assigned 1 student in general education or special education settings. Behavior Aides work with Teachers, Clinical Supervisors, and Clinical Directors to implement individualized curricula. Hours are Monday - Friday and range from 5-7.5 hours per day. Time off provided on all major holidays, school breaks, and staff development day
For those who are interested in psychology and education, ABA is a new and growing field. At BxM, we can offer guidance and tutoring as well as free BCBA & RBT supervision for students pursuing a career as a Behavior Analyst. We assist graduate students looking to gain experience toward earning their BCBA credentials with supervision and training weekly.
Responsibilities:
Assist student by helping manage their behavior, providing breaks, utilizing motivational systems, transition student between tasks and environments.
Collect daily data on each relevant behavior and graph the results.
Communicate effectively across all stakeholders with a high level of professionalism.
Assist students daily consistent with their behavior intervention plan and work within a multi-disciplinary team
Update relevant supervisors on progress towards achieving each student's daily goals
Is reliable and on time.
Ready and open to learning the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a focus on Verbal Behavior (VB).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to pass a state and federal background check
Experience working with children with autism or other disabilities
A year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and/or school aide experience are preferred
RBT credentials are highly preferred
