    What we’re looking for in talent and experience.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join the firm in our Burnsville, MN office to work with multi-disciplinary teams on State, Local Government, and private projects, primarily in the transportation arena.

    Our Senior Bridge Engineers play an essential role in the design and construction of successful, high quality bridge projects across Minnesota. They mentor other Bridge Engineers, oversee the design and construction of new structures, and the safety inspections and rehabilitation of in-place bridges. They are a vital part of the Stonebrooke team!

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Bridge and hydraulic design
    • Preparation of plans, drawings, and specifications for bridge construction or repair
    • Conducting feasibility studies
    • Performing load ratings and other calculations
    • Construction and safety inspections
    • Conducting site evaluations
    • Communication and collaboration

    Preferred Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

    • Willingness to collaborate in a team environment in the office and field
    • Proficiency in structural analysis and bridge design software
    • Experience designing highway bridges utilizing AASHTO LRFD specifications and MnDOT standards
    • Certification as an Inspection Team Leader
    • 5+ years of progressive bridge related experience
    • B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field) with Professional Engineer licensure (PE) in Minnesota

    If you’ve gotten this far, we know these are things you have, and you probably have them in spades. But just in case:

    • Knowledge of CADD software, preferably MicroStation
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Experience supervising staff
