    Summary – Lead CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift Supervisor: We are currently assisting a premier machine shop in creating a 2nd shift and are seeking candidates interested in taking on the lead role.  In this position, you would be entrusted to oversee the entirety of the 2nd shift, supporting upwards of 5-7 machinists as a working supervisor.  

    Shift: 4-10 schedule from Monday – Thursday between 4pm-2:30am

    Responsibility Summary – Lead CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift Supervisor:

    • Support the hiring, training, and development of 2nd shift machinists
    • Set up machinery for new production runs; including inputting programming updates/changes.  This will comprise a significant portion of the role until staff has been trained to perform their own setups. 
    • Check parts for quality assurance and provide training/coaching as errors are discovered. 
    • Drive achievement of production goals.
    • Ensure team is operating in a safe and efficient manner.

    Qualification Summary – Lead CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift Supervisor:

    • High school diploma required; any secondary education in a relevant field is however preferred
    • Expert level experience setting up CNC lathes and mills
    • Lead or supervisory experience highly preferred
    • Excellent communication skills and servant leadership mentality
    • Experience performing quality assurance checks using measurement tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
    • Experience with conversational CNC programming, specifically Mazak equipment preferred
    • High mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
