    Summary of Responsibilities

    Metro Building and Remodeling Group is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team in the DC/VA/MD area. As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a critical role in ensuring client satisfaction and effective communication throughout each residential remodeling project. Serving as the primary on-site representative of MBRG, you will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining progress on schedule. This role requires a deep understanding of the project, attention to detail, and strong leadership skills to manage the worksite and support a successful project outcome.

    Essential Functions & Requirements

     

    • Lead Carpenter experience is a must (5 or more years preferred)
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in residential construction
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee and schedule subcontractors and suppliers
    • Experience with a wide range of home improvement tasks including drywall and minor plumbing and electrical
    • Expert craftsmanship is a must when it comes to cabinetry installation
    • Must own necessary tools and equipment for the role
    • Ability to understand the materials and installation of all aspects involved in a kitchen, bathroom or basement project (cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures and flooring)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with homeowners and subcontractors
    • Valid Driver’s License and proper work eligibility documentation

       

      Compensation

    • $31.00-$42.00 per hour depending on experience
    • 401K, Health, Dental, and Vision
    • Company vehicle with gas card following 90-day introductory period
    • PTO
    • 6 Paid holidays
