    Construction company based out of East County of San Diego, servicing the greater San Diego area, specializing in high-end residential construction.

    THIS IS A LEADERSHIP POSITION AND 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE AS AN EXPERT IS REQUIRED.

    Lead Carpenter

    The Lead Carpenter oversees and manages all field aspects of construction projects, from inception to completion. Acting as the on-site project lead, you will assign tasks, collaborate with the crew, and supervise the execution of foundations and structural framing. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Your leadership and expertise will be vital in maintaining high standards and client satisfaction, as well as mentoring and training the crew to enhance their skills.

    Responsibilities:

    Perform carpentry tasks with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

    Lead and supervise a team of carpenters on new builds and remodeling projects.

    Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, effectively communicating with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and clients.

    Ensure job-site safety, cleanliness, security, and protection from the elements.

    Review and track the job site calendar, notifying the Project Manager of any discrepancies.

    Manage material ordering and communicate any specialty items required to the Project Manager.

    Represent the company’s values and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

    Enforce a no-smoking policy on the job site.

    Hold the team accountable for work performance, actions, and appearance.

    Ensure project production aligns with plans and specifications.

    Participate in and prepare for weekly on-site meetings with the Project Manager.

    Maintain a positive attitude, even in challenging situations.

    Proactively solve problems without requiring direction from superiors.

    Qualifications:

    Extensive experience as a framing lead/foreman in residential construction.

    Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints.

    Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.

    Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

    Solid expertise in foundations and framing.

    General knowledge of other trades.

    Reliable transportation and own tools required.
