Job Title: Lead Commercial Roofing Service Technician
Location: Minnetonka, MN

Job Summary: The Lead Commercial Roofing Service Technician will oversee and perform maintenance, repair, and service work on commercial roofing systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial roofing systems and capable of leading a team to successfully complete service projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various commercial roofing systems, including but not limited to TPO, EPDM, PVC, and built-up roofs.
Lead a team of roofing technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot roofing issues, providing recommendations and solutions to clients.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.
Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and photos of completed work.
Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to provide updates and address concerns.
Monitor inventory and ensure necessary tools and materials are available for projects.
Stay updated on industry standards, new technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with a focus on repair and maintenance.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing or supervising teams.
Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
OSHA certification (preferred).
Bilingual skills (a plus).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, and kneeling.
