    Contents Lead Technician

    The Contents Lead Technician works within our Emergency Services (Mitigation) Department, primarily responsible for responding to emergency and property damaging situations. The person in this role leads and manages the contents process and the cleaning of all salvageable contents from a loss. The Contents Lead Technician is responsible for developing and communicating all aspects of the cleaning work flow and processing.

    $37,000 - $43,000 per year! ($18.00 - $21.00 per hour)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Lead the Team responsible for cleaning customer’s contents removed from a loss.

    Responsible for equipment tracking, maintenance and upkeep

    Responsible for daily equipment and supply inventory sheet for each team

    Completion of supply order for contents division

    Train and coach contents field staff

    Submit weekly time sheets and coded job hours to Mitigation Manager

    Approve Field Staff hourly time cards on a weekly basis

    Assist the Coordinator with daily schedule, dispatch and supervision of contents and laundry assigned jobs

    Complete initial inspections for new losses within the content’s division

    Complete estimates within our main estimating software for contents and laundry jobs

    Supervise, lead and coach field staff and sub-contractors

    Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold

    Complete cleaning processes for both contents and structural damage assigned jobs

    Reporting of inventory in our main operating system, RMS

    Completion and filing of documentation on contents and laundry jobs

    Communicate job progress and completion with Managers, Team Leaders, customers, and insurance adjustors/carriers

    Act as the main point of contact for the homeowners throughout assigned jobs

    Maintain and create good relationship with insurance carriers and vendors

    Complete work for catastrophic events

    Attend industry related trainings

    Other Duties as assigned

    Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

    Knowledge of estimation software

    Knowledge of processing contents within the restoration industry

    Customer Service Skills

    Coaching and leadership skills

    Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems: RMS, Xactimate, TSheets, Salesforce, Contractor Connection, ADP, SharePoint, and One Drive

    Ability to create estimates in our estimation software

    Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face

    Ability to work office equipment (fax, scanner, printer, phone system, computers)

    Ability to work independently and lead a team

    Ability to work within hazardous environments safely

    Ability to coordinate multiple jobs within the same time frame

    Ability to oversee a staff on assigned jobs

    Maintain a level of confidentiality

    Required Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED required

    Experience with content processing procedures

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree

    IICRC certifications

    1 year experience in a Supervisory/Leadership role

    Physical Requirement

    Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 25% of the time

    The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    The person in this position needs to frequently move about client’s properties to complete estimates and oversee completion of jobs

    Occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer.

    Constantly moves about job sites

    Constantly positions self to move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces

    Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to complete jobs

    Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents

    Must be able to communicate and converse with customers and staff over the phone and face to face

    Occasionally will lift up to 50lbs
