    To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

    · Review of part data, part prints, GD&T requirements, customer documentation and all quote requirements.

    · Review blank sizes and die tooling requirements both internally and with process data from external tool shops.

    · Maintain job tracking daily/weekly/monthly.

    · Attending pre-source meetings.

    · Strong ability to communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure quote support and accuracy.

    · Ability to learn internal quoting systems and use systems to provide detailed quotes.

    · Work with internal and external teams for soliciting quote responses.

    · Provides improvement recommendations to Cost Estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

    · Identifies process required to quote jobs for our customers.

    · Serves as primary point of contact between Estimating and CBT Teams.

    · Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders across functional groups.

    · Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise in a timely and efficient manner, with ability to proactively identify potential issues before they become critical.

    · Understand customer needs and requirements to provide customized solutions.

    · Oversee processes, analyze data, and provide best-fit recommendations and/or data-driven recommendations.

    · Ability to understand manufacturing processes and be able to look at a cost sheet to make sure all processes are accounted for, minimizing cost vs just providing a cost.

    · Facilitate communication between the customer and various internal departments to resolve issues, optimize processes, and ensure due dates are being met.

    · Develop reports and presentations when necessary.

    · Lead, mentor, and train team members.

    · Ensure the team is aligned with business objectives and meets performance goals.

    · Promote a collaborative and customer-focused culture within the team.

    This full-time salary-exempt role is a part of our Corporate Cost Estimating team and reports to the Sr. Cost Estimating Manager.

    Required experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in Engineering or Engineering cross discipline.
    • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in an automotive/metals/assembly environment.
    • Basic understanding of engineering, design and tools needed.
    • Knowledge of cost analysis, data and other software understanding.
    • Experience working with OEM’s.
    • In-depth experience and understanding of the automation industry.
    • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively guide and direct other employees.
    • Ability to convey technical details to a non-technical audience.
    • Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of standard quality practices.
    • Ability to interpret financial and performance data.
    • Vision and ability to translate progressive operating techniques into applications and results.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
    • Advanced understanding/experience with Microsoft Excel, must be able to create, modify and trouble shoot formulae.
    • Advanced knowledge/understanding of cost analysis, data and other software understanding.
    • Experience working with OEM’s a plus.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • QAD & QMS at intermediate level.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Use thermometers provided by NGA to assess temperature for each person attempting to enter the facility at the staff member’s duty station.
    • Staff will follow NGA’s procedures for checking temperature, re-checks as necessary, and threshold for determining whether a person should proceed to enter NGA facilities.
    • Staff will communicate results of the temperature check to the person attempting to enter, advise the person if he/she is above the threshold allowed for entry, offer other guidance for that person per NGA guidance, and communicate results of temperature check to nearby NGA Police Officers if necessary to facilitate safe compliance with NGA policy.
    • Staff will follow NGA Health Services guidance for documenting and reporting on actions taken during shift.
    • Staff will follow applicable laws and regulations and provide guidance as necessary to NGA Health Services and other stakeholders of this work to support their compliance with procedures
