    Schedule for Dental Assistant

    • Monday: 8AM–5PM

    • Tuesday: 8AM–5PM

    • Wednesday: 11AM–8PM

    • Thursday: 11AM–8PM

    Responsibilities and Requirements of the Dental Assistant:

    • 2+ years of experience required

    • The Lead Dental Assistant will also step in as needed when the practice is short-staffed.

    • Welcomes patients in the dental office and performs new patient interviews and tours

    • Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort

    • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and procedural materials

    • Sterilize instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with regulations

    • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

    • Undertake lab tasks as instructed

    • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

    • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

    • Schedule appointments

    • Maintain accurate patient records

    Skills of the Dental Assistant:

    • Proven experience as dental assistant

    • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

    • Understanding of OSHA health & safety regulations

    • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus

    • Exceptional computer skills

    • Excellent communication and people skills

    • Attention to detail

    • Well-organized and reliable

    • High school diploma

    • Dental assisting certificate preferred

    • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)

    $54,000-$59,000 per year
