As the Lead Dental Assistant you will have a dual role as the Clinical Manager overseeing clinical duties and creating systems for efficiency. We have arduous protocols that must be followed, so attention to detail is critical. We are seeking the right team player who will help us continue to provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. You will support clincial procedures and must have familiarity with dental implant surgery, restoration, bone grafting, and general dental procedures, along with efficient scheduling, inventory management and implementing innovative systems to enhance our established efficiencies. The ideal candidate has documented advancing dental assisting responsibilities, prior experience managing a team and is comfortable to lead and direct a clinical schedule and keep doctor on schedule. Our ideal candidate would possess a business degree or have a project management background.     Responsibilities

    Welcome patients into the practice and make them feel comfortable in the treatment room

    Comfortable with presenting treatment plans and seeking committment to dental care

    Thoroughly document patient notes, and treatment plan options to share with Treatment / Finance Manager

    Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have

    Take vital signs and accurately record medical history

    Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures

    Assist the dentist during procedures and exams

    Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

    Support Treatment Manager in scheduling efficiences/overlaps and make adjustments as necessary

    Ensure lab cases are poured up and shipped timely, follow up with lab to ensure timely turn-around/processing and communicate any concerns

    Qualifications

    Associate’s Degree

    Strong computer and data entry skills (Dentrix preferred)

    Excellent communication and customer service skills

    Ability to provide high-quality patient care
