    As a Goddard School Lead Teacher you will be supporting Goddard's program and policies as well as state licensing policies by:

    Creating a classroom that is fun and supports play, exploration, and learning.

    Accessing Goddard's exclusive Wonders of Learning Curriculum.

    Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.

    Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.

    Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.

    Advancing students physical and intellectual competence.

    Supporting social and emotional development and providing both positive guidance and reinforcement.

    Establishing positive and productive relationships with families.

    Ensuring a well-run, purposeful program responsive to participant needs based on Goddard's standards of learning through play.

    Lead Teachers responsibilities include but is not limited to:

    Creating and implementing lesson plans to provide fun learning experiences through guided play.

    Conducting observations and assessments.

    Maintaining Oklahoma Licensing ratios and regulations at all times.

    Keeping proper supervision of the children in their care.

    Classroom management.

    Changing diapers/aiding in toileting when necessary as well as keeping all children neat and clean.

    Promoting healthy eating habits during meals/snacks.

    Maintaining a clean and organized classroom.

    Producing displays with evidence of learning.

    Building relationships with families and children in care.

    The preferred qualifications of a Lead Teacher include:

    A BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field.

    An Associate Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field.

    Currently enrolled in an AA or BA degree in ECE.

    CDA Certification.

    Prior Teaching Experience in a Preschool Setting or Child Care Center.

    Ability to interact closely with children and maintain proper supervision.

    Have a genuine love for the care of children and a strong commitment to education.
