Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Sales or Installation Technician to join our team! In this role, you will visit customers’ homes to assess their electrical needs, provide estimates, and sell our services. You will manage and oversee installations, from procuring parts to leading each job to successful completion. Additionally, you will guide and mentor an apprentice, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities:
Lead and Execute Installations: Oversee and execute electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks to ensure they are completed on time and to industry standards.
Procure and Manage Parts: Coordinate the procurement of necessary parts and materials for each job, ensuring all components are available before the start of the project.
Customer Interaction and Sales: Visit customers’ homes to assess their electrical needs, provide detailed estimates, and sell our services. Address customer questions, explain the benefits of proposed solutions, and close sales.
Job Planning and Preparation: Review job orders, blueprints, and specifications to plan installations and coordinate with homeowners & contractors as necessary.
Mentor and Train: Guide and mentor the assigned electrical apprentice, providing hands-on training and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets or exceeds industry standards, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the installation process.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as company safety policies.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job for reporting and billing purposes.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician License (Preferred): Possession of a valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Colorado is preferred but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical trade, with proven experience in leading electrical installation projects.
Sales Skills: Proven ability to assess customer needs, provide detailed estimates, and effectively sell services. Experience in closing sales and managing customer relationships is highly desirable.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience guiding and training apprentices or junior electricians.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, as well as in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve electrical issues on-site.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and other trades.
Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to job sites.
