Our client is a global leader in manufacturing for commercial and military aircraft. They are seeking a Lead Finance Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on finance operations, and collaborating with various departments.

This is a direct hire opportunity, onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities:

• Execution of forecasting, budgeting, strategy, month-end close activities and reporting
• P&L and balance sheet activities, including product cost accounting, absorption and direct hours analysis, functional operational costs, inventory controls, physical inventory, cycle counts, aged WIP, standard cost roll-ups, job close and other variances analysis, and material losses
• Ability to understand cost drivers and improve cost controls
• ERP system ownership, to include standard cost review and cost roll-up, BOM and engineering routes analysis and updates
• Support U.S. government accounting and reporting requirement
• Work closely with auditors to ensure cost and reporting compliance
