The Lead HVAC Design Engineer plays a vital role in project success by leading a team of Mechanical Engineers, supporting the sales team, and managing project design and coordination. This position is responsible for developing engineering documents, solving complex design challenges, and ensuring quality control throughout the process.
Lead HVAC Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Oversee engineering efforts, collaborate with stakeholders, manage project tasks and budgets, and ensure efficient workflows.
- Work with the sales team to develop tailored HVAC and plumbing solutions, including accurate engineering budgets.
- Design mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.
- Select HVAC and plumbing equipment, ductwork, and piping while reviewing submittals for accuracy.
- Perform HVAC load calculations and other essential computations to support system designs.
- Stay current with codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies to drive compliance and innovation.
- Coordinate effectively with field personnel and external professionals to ensure project success.
Lead HVAC Design Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) and at least 4 years of engineering experience.
- Proven leadership experience or the ability to take on leadership responsibilities.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license for Washington and/or Oregon is strongly desired.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical system design, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Compensation: $120K - $160K + bonus
