This is a full-time position and will require you to have a vehicle, be on call one weekend a month, and be very flexible.
Job description- The Lead Home Health Aide will be committed to approaching administrative tasks with tenacity and exceptional attention to detail. Beyond basic administrative tasks and takes on multiple projects at once. Excellent work ethic and strength in maintaining and enhancing Care Team morale. The Lead Home Health Aide will ensure that clients receive personalized service and consistent care by spending a large amount of time providing hands-on care and medication oversight (HHA/CNA required). The Lead Home Health Aide will direct all activities as well as provide leadership and direction to other caregivers on the Care Team. In this role you will still maintain some Clients, but you will start to also support your peers with orientations, trainings and supervisory tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Clients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Observe other Jr. Caregivers on their shifts in order to help them improve.
Provide Caregiver quarterly reviews
Provide answers to Caregiver questions when they need help
Be available to backup Caregivers in case of an emergency.
Help evaluate new potential Caregiver candidates.
Teach Caregivers how to maintain records of Client care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
Build positive relationships with Caregivers
SKILLS The Lead Home Health Aide must be a self-starter with excellent organizational, caregiving and problem-solving abilities. Outstanding interpersonal communication and written skills. Must be experienced in Elder Care. Must be able to motivate and direct other Care Team members while also providing hands-on care for about 75% of the time. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who has a passion for the elderly and creating a spirit of hospitality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduated from an accredited Home Care Aide (HCA) or CNA program
High School Diploma or GED
One year prior professional experience
Driver’s license required
CPR certification required
