We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our team and provide a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants ages 7-13 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infant development and a passion for working with young children. As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for leading the infant classroom, guiding the care and activities of 9 babies, and working collaboratively with other team members to create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and supervision for a group of 9 infants (7-13 months old), ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Create and maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and milestones.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, challenges, and daily experiences.
Work closely with support staff and assist in guiding the teaching assistants or other caregivers.
Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure continuity in routines, caregiving, and activities.
Promote positive social interactions and provide guidance in developing social and emotional skills.
Attend regular staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
Handle basic infant care tasks such as feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare or early childhood setting.
Strong understanding of infant development (7-13 months).
Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
Patient, nurturing, and attentive to individual needs.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Flexibility, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
TCC, CDA, Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood or a Bachelor's Degree.
